Congratulations to the following Lady Wildcats: Kate Boman entered competition 9th and left moving up 1 spot to finish 8th in the state at a 495 pound total. Mallory Leeper also entered 9th in the state and also moved up one spot to finish 8th overall with a 320 pound total. Addison McGuire entered competition 6th and is leaving 5th with some hardware and a 580 pound total! We are very proud of these girls. It is hard to get here and even harder to move up in positions. Great Job Ladies!!!!

Update from Coach Manning at the HS Regional Powerlifting Meet.

It’s been an awesome week of regionals for the boys! Nearly all lifters hit new personal bests in at least one event, many in multiple events.

The HS Meet today was no different. Many new personal bests were set. Caiden Porter set a new school record in the 275lb class with a 555lb deadlift.

Caiden also finished 3rd in his class automatically qualifying him for the state meet next week in El Reno Ok on Saturday.

Congratulations to all the powerlifters this year! Very proud of you and the hard work you put in this spring!!

Quapaw had 5 State Qualifiers yesterday at the Grades 7-9 Regional Powerlifting Meet in Muskogee: Landon Youngberg is the 8th grade NE Regional Champion in the 181 class, Maverick Jones finished 3rd (105), Grant Koronis finished 5th (123), Tyler Arnold finished 5th (132) and Gavin Koronis 7th (123). Congratulations!

Band and Choir students competed at District Solo and Ensemble Contest on Saturday in Pryor. Lydia Daugherty and Steven Daugherty received Superior ratings on their vocal solos. Lydia Daugherty, Caidence Thrasher, and Katelynn Boman received Superior ratings on their instrumental solos. These three girls will be advancing to compete at the State Contest in April.

Congratulations to Miss Valentine’s. MS Queen: Jaelee Munson and HS Queen: Avaleigh Morton!

Kacelyn Pogue, Shasta Doke, Logan Eby qualified for BPA State! They will compete in a group presentation about AI and an individual competition as well. The girls compete next Tuesday in Tulsa. Top qualifiers will advance to Nationals in Orlando in May. This is the first time for Quapaw BPA to compete at the state level!

It was a great day at the Girls Powerlifting Regional. Several girls hit new personal bests in multiple events. We also had 3 girls qualify for the State Powerlifting Meet next week in Durant Ok. 4th Place - Mallory Leeper (Additional Qualifier), 3rd Place - Kate Boman (Automatic Qualifier), 3rd Place - Addison McGuire (Automatic Qualifier).

Quapaw High School Class of 2025 Valedictorian is Jaxon Myrick. Jaxon is the son of Kirk and Jenny Myrick. His grandparents are Kermis and Sandra Myrick, Eva and Ruben Barroso, and the late Mark AmericanHorse. Jaxon has attended Quapaw since Pre-K. He has been involved in FCS, StuCo, NHS, Phi Theta Kappa, football, baseball, basketball, and several leadership activities. His plan after graduating is to attend Missouri Southern State University and Major in Health Sciences. After he completes his education, he plans to work in the field of Radiation Therapy.

The Salutatorian is Gunner Parker. Gunner is the son of JR and Amber Parker. His grandparents are Jim and Christy Case, and Larry and Linda Lane. He has been a student at Quapaw since Pre-K. He has participated in FCS, NHS, Baseball, Basketball, and a handful of leadership activities. After graduation, Gunner plans to attend NEO before transferring to a university to pursue a degree in sports management.

Regional Girls Powerlifting will be held at Fairview on Tuesday. Good Luck to the following girls: Madison Overman, Kate Boman, Addison McGuire, Ryleigh Canoy, Danielle Glover, Presleigh Elledge, Lilee Youngberg, Mataya Townsend, Gracie King, Mallory Leeper, Kinzley Rupert, Lillie Price, and Emma Eby.
